Best of Pensacola Weddings 2017
2017 was nothing short of amazing when it came to spectacular weddings! Whether is was a small intimate affair at a private beach house or a large Museum of Commerce or Sanders Beach Club wedding, it was a day to remember. Each bride had her own personal style and I was lucky enough to be a part of the best day of their lives. I cannot express how fortunate I feel to have been invited into the lives of these wonderful families and how blessed I am to have witnessed the start of some magical beginnings. Here is a short list of my favorite memories from the past year.
Best Dance Moves
I saw it all this year when it comes to dancing. My favorite was a wedding where 99% of the guests walked into the reception with tennis shoes in their hands. That was a dance party to write home about. 200+ people rocked that dance floor for hours. The bride and groom even danced out of the venue at the end of the night! I was also fortunate enough to witness some incredible mother/son dances. It was nice to see some slow dancing but a lot of moms and sons busted out some pretty upbeat dance moves as well! The father/daughter dances are always a tearjerker and this year was no different. And of course there were some very sweet first dances!
I saw a lot of greenery this year. It was a very natural look but when mixed with a few white flowers and some candles, it was simply gorgeous. I was lucky enough to work with some incredible florists this year who made flower chandeliers, arbor decorations and stunning bouquets. Neutral pallets with hints of gold were seen in almost all of my weddings this year but each one was different and beautiful in its own way.
I love a good old Museum of Commerce wedding. The space is so unique, you just can’t beat it. Having said that, I have a soft spot for all the beach house weddings I was lucky enough to coordinate this year. There is nothing better than seeing my couples tie the knot with their toes in the sand and breeze in their hair.
The families I was able to work with this year were beyond amazing. I know that the couples I worked with this year have great foundations for successful marriages and it’s all because they have very supportive and loving families standing behind them. I appreciated all of the mothers, father, grandparents, uncles and aunts that worked with me and made each wedding day a stress free and enjoyable day for the bride and groom. A wedding often spotlights the relationship between the bride and groom but in actuality it is the union of two families and I saw that first hand over the last year. It was a beautiful thing to witness.
Two of my 2017 brides are expecting babies!!! Congratulations to two wonderful women who will be amazing mothers! All the best in 2018!
