This month our featured topic is bridesmaids. Let’s talk about ways to help choose your bridesmaids. You’re in the planning stages of your wedding and it’s time to make crucial decisions – will it be a small, intimate gathering or is a large wedding more your style? Think about who you would like standing beside you to witness one of the best moments in your life.
How to Choose Your Bridesmaids
Think about each person’s unique qualities and who makes you happy. These are going to be a handful of people who can make or break your big day. Consider siblings, future in-laws, best friends, who you could absolutely not live without on this day?

Who would like as your bridesmaid?
First, start by making a list of everyone you need to consider for your bridesmaids. There’s no rules, you can have as many bridesmaids as you want or none at all. Try to stick with your own personal connection to your bridesmaids, not etiquette.
Discuss with your potential bridal party if they can commit to your wedding preparations and the duties that may be necessary leading up to your wedding day. They may have busy schedules that result in removing themselves for consideration. Are you the type of person who has one or two close confidantes and need a sounding board for each decision? Or do you like to be surrounded by a group of people. In this case “the more the merrier” dosen’t always apply. You need to make sure your bridesmaid choices take their roles seriously. You’re assembling a squad to also provide moral support.
Who will make you laugh? Who will help you with tasks along the way? Who will get along best with the group? Who will help you shop? Who will make this fun and memorable? Who will help with input and will be reliable? Narrow down your list, weigh the pros and cons. Be sure to take the time to think about your final decisions.
Overall this is your day to share with your family, closest friends and the ones near and dear to your heart. Just use your instinct and your end result will be lifelong memories and friendships.
