Romantic Sanders Beach Wedding
Lilly and Chance’s Romantic Sanders Beach Wedding was beautiful in every way possible. The rain toyed with our emotions early in the day but cleared out in time for the ceremony. Shortly after, the sky turned pink, creating a gorgeous background for Amber Fletcher Photography to capture some beautiful wedding photos. Lilly was the ultimate DIY bride and had her hand in everything. From the reception centerpieces to the ceremony arbor, every piece of this wedding had a personal touch. Lilly’s friends and family were extra helpful and wanted to be involved throughout the entire process. Witnessing the beginning of this marriage, it was obvious that this was the joining of not just Lilly and Chance, but two very special families.
Their Love Story
” Chance and I met through a mutual friend and I knew he was interested in me but never approached me until at a party. After the party, Chance drove me home and was so shy during the car ride that I had to ask for his number instead of him asking me (LOL). I love that we compliment each other and our personalities are completely different. Chance is more reserved and quiet whereas I am more social and outgoing. I like to think Chance keeps me grounded to life and our morals! I knew Chance was the man I wanted to marry after one month of dating. I totally was not expecting to fall in love with him that soon but when it’s meant to be it’s mean to be. He is an amazing person and I am very lucky to have him be my husband.”
Lilly wanted the look of “romance” without being too feminine. She settled on a lot of blush with accents of burgundy and hints of gold. She also put the groomsmen in navy blue instead of traditional black.
Advice for other couples
“Communicate and compromise with anything and everything. I understand there is a lot of pressure and/or expectation that the wedding day is the bride’s day but the groom is just as important. Yes, the bride will do the planning, the vendor meetings, and budgeting, but the groom should feel he is a part of the biggest day of his life as well.”
Lilly’s biggest stress was late RSVP’s. Lilly was fortunate enough to have chosen a large venue that could accommodate the extra guests. Hiring great vendors that are flexible and easy to work with is the key to a successful wedding. You have to be prepared for last minute RSVP’s and if you have great vendors that will work with your numbers changing it will create a much less stressful month leading up to your big day.
