New Kent Winery Wedding
Nicole and Jacob’s New Kent Winery Wedding was not only stunning, it was a breath of fresh air. A small intimate ceremony held next to the beautiful grapevines left an ever lasting impression on this Williamsburg wedding planner. During their ceremony, Nicole and Jacob did a “washing of the hands” as a unity ritual- they just loved the meaning behind it. Other weddings and Pinterest inspired a lot of Nicole’s gorgeous wedding details. Thank you Vinluan Photography for sharing your beautiful work!
Their Love Story
Their story began July 3, 2012 in Atsugi, Japan which happened to be Nicole and Jacob’s first duty station. The two hung out the same night at a get together where they started to get to know each other and in that moment, two unfamiliar people became friends. After hanging out for what seemed like almost everyday that summer, between laughter and endless nights, they knew it was only a matter of time. They starting dating August 12, 2012 and the rest is history!
We are adding a “travel theme” since Jacob and I met in Japan. Also, because while we were there we did a lot of traveling 🙂 It’s a thing we love to do.

Advice for Future Couples
Try not to stress out while planning (easier said that done). Doing a lot of research when deciding on vendors 🙂
Avoid the Stress
Nicole said that researching their wedding vendors was one of the most time consuming and stressful parts of wedding planning. Fleur de Lis Event Consulting provides a preferred vendor list to all our couples getting married. This list only includes vendors that have personally been vetted by us.
