Pensacola Day Of Coordination Package. Thinking of hiring someone for Day Of wedding coordinating? Or Month-of Coordinating? There are many details and moving parts that make a wedding successful. What is the definition of a successful wedding you ask? A successful wedding is having an overjoyed bride and groom, no unnecessary tears, sharing precious moments with friends and family without fear of something going wrong and no bridezilla moments on the wedding day. If you can’t splurge for a full service wedding planner consider hiring a month of planner should be considered. – it would be well worth the cost. There are many benefits to having this little miracle worker (Toot! Toot!) can do for you. They can create a clam in a sea of unruly waves (which are little surprises) and can give a bride a sense of ease she might not otherwise have. It is physically impossible to be in a wedding and direct one at the same time, so someone must be given this duty. Often times, brides look to family members. However, a family member who is not trained can sometimes cause more headache than assistance and can be too emotionally involved to see logically in a tense situation. And there will be a few tense moments guaranteed. So why hire a Month of planner for your special day? There are tons of benefits but there are the most important reasons:
Vendor Referrals: By hiring a Month of planner, you can take advantage of one of the best resources a planner has- vendor recommendations. They won’t go to your appointments with you but they will email over a list of vendors that have been vetted and vouched for. This is information in itself is priceless.
Monthly Reminder Emails: It’s important to stay on top of your planning list. I’m sure you have seen a million different types of month to month planning list, but you’re planner will email you a list once a month with the needed task for that month.
Thirty Day Site Visit: Your Month of planner will do a walkthrough of the venue to go over wedding layout as well as work out the flow of the event. When you do want to go first dance, toast, cake cutting? These questions will be answered at this meeting.
Connect with Your Vendors: Roughly two to one week before your wedding your Month of planner will start calling your selected vendors to confirm things like how much time does you’re photographer need for pre ceremony pictures or making sure the rental company comes before the florist. They will know what kinds of questions to ask your vendors to ensure a smooth wedding day.
Create a Timeline: A planner will help you create an accurate wedding day timeline. They have the experience to know how long it will take to do hair and makeup based on the number of girls. Your Month of planner will add vendor arrivals times to the timeline after speaking with them. They will email a masterline to all vendors a few days before the wedding so that way everyone is on the same page and schedule. This is important because you don’t want you’re florist showing up before the rental company to drop the linens or bring tables.
Setup: Your Day of planner will be there to setup your wedding. And she should have an assistant working alongside her. At your thirty walkthrough your planner will ask for your personal items list. At this time they will go over your items and get an idea as to how you want to decorate. They will let you know if you have a realistic plan. For example, you are limited to a certain extent with a venue that only allows a two hour setup time.

Yippy Skippy! Last week Fleur de Lis Event Consulting was featured on Jet Fete. Allison and Mike’s destination wedding to Saint Augustine, Fl was a non-traditional wedding and will definitely go down in the book as one of my favorites. Jet Fete was designed with the globetrotting bride-to-be in mind. From far off adventures for two to grand celebrations on location – Jet Fete is the engaged couple’s go-to guide for saying “I do” away from home. Whether you want tips on where to wed when taking your friends and family with you or a grooms’ guide to planning the honeymoon, you can look to Jet Fete as the destination for nuptial travel.
Do you know what the best resource for a destination bride is? Picture this: a small intimate wedding with just your closest friends and family all gathered for your wedding destination soiree. Perhaps you all meet in a charming historic city or a serene beach town to witness such a cherished moment with an unforgettable adventure. Can you imagine it? Doesn’t it sound lovely?
However, the reality is that planning a destination wedding from afar can be a daunting and tasking affair. When you are unfamiliar with an area it can get pretty frustrating and before you know it you’re crying in front of a computer screen overwhelmed by the endless choices. And not only are there an abundant number of choices but there’s also a risk factor when planning a destination wedding. Will you accidentally choose the hotel with nice pictures, only to find out it is located in the ghetto when you get there? Will you get scammed by a vendor who promises you a great “deal”? There would be nothing worst then sending in a deposit only to find yourself disappointed with a no show vendor or sketchy location. Yes, a destination wedding can have some challenges. However, not all is lost, one of the greatest tools a destination bride can invest in is hiring a wedding planner. Even if you can’t splurge for a full service planner consider hiring a month of planner- it would be well worth it. By doing this, you’ll be saving yourself a lot of unnecessary stress because they’ll have tons of resources to share with you.
Referrals: They will give you a list of vendors whom have all been vetted. You need a DJ? A Florist? They will have a few ideas for you while working in your budget.
Venue: They will be familiar with the venue so they can tell you what to expect from all points of view- from guests to bride and groom. They can help you create a working layout and inform you on the ins and outs of the venue and outlining areas. I like to create a video for my destination brides of the venue which I text or email to them so that way they can get a 3D perspective.
Timeline: They will help you create an accurate timeline. If there’s any traveling from the ceremony to reception site they will have a better idea of how long it will actually take. They will go over the details of the day and speak with all your vendors to create a true working timeline.
Setup: A planner will setup your personal items so you don’t have to worry about asking great aunt Elsa to do it. Anyone who is coming to a destination wedding wants to have fun- not be put to work. For the amount of money it will cost them to take part in your destination wedding, I’m sure they’d love to enjoy it.

Here a peek of our Hampton Inn Oceanfront Wedding from last month. I just love it when a couple’s wedding tells a good story- when they can capture the essence of their love by incorporating small details that are worth a thousand words. Every element of Meghan and Chris’ wedding had a significant meaning behind it and it was neat to watch their love story come to life as the wedding went on. Meghan and Chris reside in Georgia, but they love the beach and dreamed of doing a destination wedding. It is not easy to pull off such events, but with a little DIY sweat and planning, they made it look like a piece of cake! They decided to have it at the Hampton Inn Oceanfront at Jax Beach, which was very accommodating for their intimate wedding of fifty eight people. Only their closest friends and family shared this special event. Meghan handcrafted all the bouquets and boutonnieres herself. She added little meaningful charms to each bouquet. The cake was served alongside the most decadent banana pudding ice cream one has ever tasted. The ice cream was handmade by Chris and actually carried to the hotel from Georgia- a feat in of itself. The toasts during dinner were all so touching; I don’t think there was a single dry eye after they were all done. The couple had the love of everyone around them and it was so moving to witness. By the end of the night all their guests were on their feet dancing the night away. It was a great time for all.
