And oh so much more…
This Whale of a Time 1st Birthday was cause for celebration. The lively color palette of navy, aqua and orange created one unforgettable event. As guests arrived they were greeted by a balloon arrangement and a sign on the door that read, “Whale hello there” which set the theme and tone of the party. Inside the design continued with an array of nautical elements and dashing whales. The custom aqua striped runners were handmade and when paired with the orange and white flowers it gave the tablescape a pop of fun. The dessert buffet backdrop was created from a white frame and paper streamers- super easy and affordable! Fun whale sayings like “Love You Tons” and “I Whalley Like You” were placed about. A picture collage of baby R hung from a multitude of navy, aqua, white and orange ribbons. Guest favors included cookies for the adults and books for the kids. R’s is just too dapper for words with his matching birthday attire!
Hire a planner
I know what you’re thinking- “Isn’t she a planner?” Yes, Yes I am. However, I found it very challenging to run my own event and be a part of it- which is pretty funny because that is what I tell my clients. I would consider myself a pretty organized person and planned all the details to the T. But like all events, things have a tendency to evolve and change. And it would have been nice just to sit back and enjoy the party without worrying about flow or food. So, words to the wise- hire a planner, even if you’re a planner, lol.
